The ViewSonic XG2700 delivers an excellent color reproduction performance thanks to its 10-bit interface capable of displaying 1.07 billion colors. Also, the 10-bit interface allows for 100% coverage of the sRGB color space and 72% of the Adobe RGB standard. The screen also has a pixel density of 163PPI, so image details are clear and sharp.

The XG2700 delivers around 340 nits of brightness which for users may be eye popping. But this could be fixed or lowered to a more comfortable level and this will also improve the contrast capabilities.

Viewing angles of the XG2700 are good, with no color shifting or loss of luminance when viewed from any angle.

Performance:

The ViewSonic XG2700 has a 5ms response time and 60Hz refresh rate, which give a fast and smooth gaming performance. It supports AMD’s FreeSync, which eliminates stuttering and screen tearing.

As for the 60Hz refresh rate, it runs most of the games smoothly without stuttering, but for some games, it wasn’t so smooth. So to reach the full 60Hz, a good graphic card is needed.

With the right graphic card selection it can easily deliver the output of 60Hz with 4K resolution level. The best suggestions are AMD RX580 and RX480.

Input lag of ViewSonic XG2700 is also pretty good, with hardly any delay between all inputs. But you have to enable Low Input Lag mode to get such impressive results, though.

Features:

The Viewsonic XG2700-4K has a variety of features as well as gaming features. It has picture-in-picture and picture-by-picture modes, which allow using the monitor’s many display inputs all at once.

The design of the ViewSonic XG2700-4K is ordinary as it sports a black matte finish with red strips along the base and the back of the stand. It has small pull-out plastic hook on the top of the stand that can hold headphones, and there’s a red plastic ring just below it that can be used to organize wires.

The bezels of the XG2700-4K are not really thin, but they don’t affect the display. On the right bottom edge bezel, OSD touch buttons can be found and for some users the touch buttons can be quite annoying and frustrating.

And on the bottom bezel there is Viewsonic silver logo.

The monitor offers a great ergonomics as it can be height adjusted, pivot in portrait mode, tilt and swivel. It is also supports 100×100 VESA Compatibility.

For the connectivity, the Viewsonic XG2700-4K features an array of I/O ports including DisplayPort, mini-DisplayPort, two HDMI ports, and one HDMI 2.0 jack. In addition, there’s a USB 3.0 upstream port and two downstream USB 3.0 ports. There are also two extra USB 3.0 jacks on the side of the monitor.
