The BenQ ZOWIE XL2730 is the updated version of XL2730Z, and the second 27-inch monitor in the XL series. It is capable of 16 million colors and has an 8–bit interface with acceptable color coverage of the sRGB color space.

The TN panel of the BenQ XL2730 suffers from regular problems that every TN panel has, which is poor color reproduction and narrow viewing angle.

At dark scenes, bluish hue can be noticed at the panel’s bottom. The OSD features a Color Vibrance option to enhance color saturation, making the colors look more rich and vibrant.

There is a good thing about the BenQ XL2730, is the contrast capabilities. After calibration, the mentioned contrast ratio reaches up to 960:1 for better shade transitions and deeper blacks.

To have this performance, a precise gamma level needs to be set in standard mode only. For dark areas, it can be brightened by using the Black equalizer option, which will help improve contrast reproduction.
